Fifth PanArmenian EXPO 2014 kicks off in Yerevan

The 5th regional trade and industrial PanArmenian EXPO 2014 has opened on Thursday in Yerevan.

YEREVAN, October 9. / ARKA /. The 5th regional trade and industrial PanArmenian EXPO 2014 has opened on Thursday in Yerevan.
"It is very important and encouraging that the number of companies and countries participating in the exhibition is growing year after year," Martin Sargsyan, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia said at the opening ceremony.
He said the exhibition provides Armenian producers and entrepreneurs with a platform to present their products, to create new investment opportunities, as well as new joint ventures.
The 5th PanArmenian EXPO 2014 will run until the 12th of October. PanArmenian EXPO is being held in Armenia since 2003 every three years, but this year it has been decided to make it an annual event.
The exhibition, which this year is devoted to the City Day is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia, the Armenian Development Agency and Prom EXPO company. The state partner of the exhibition is the Russian Federation represented by its Trade Representation in Armenia.
Some 120 companies are taking part in the Panarmenian EXPO 2014, including companies from Russia, Iran, China, Georgia and Indonesia, showcasing foods, services, industrial goods, textiles and construction. -0-
