YEREVAN, February 9. /ARKA/. Tatiana Bakalchuk, the founder and CEO of Wildberries, the largest online retailer in Russia, has been elected head of the Russian-Armenian Business Council, TASS reported.

According to Russian Economic Development Ministry, more than 40 major Russian companies operate in Armenia in various sectors of the economy.

Last December Wildberries provided Armenian entrepreneurs with an opportunity to sell their products directly to other countries where Wildberries’ site operates, with Russia being the first country.

Owing to this, Armenian manufacturers are able to expand the range of their products on the online platform and increase their income.

Sale of goods from Armenia is carried out by Marketplace model: after the receipt of orders, the sellers bring them to the company's warehouse in Yerevan, and then the logistics service of the website delivers them to buyers.

Products from Armenia are in high demand on Wildberries: during 11 months of 2022, their sales rose by 71% year-on-year to 290 million rubles. The largest demand was for accessories (+958%), cosmetics and perfumes (+449%), home products (+312%), food (+276%) and baby clothes (+267%).  --0--
