Rosselkhoznadzor temporarily restricts the import of pome fruits, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruits from Armenia
YEREVAN, June 2. /ARКА/. Effective June 3, 2026, Rosselkhoznadzor will impose temporary restrictions on the import of pome fruits, eggplants, potatoes, and dried fruits originating and shipped from Armenia, as well as on the transit of these products to EAEU member states.
The agency's statement notes that the restrictions are being introduced due to the lack of mechanisms for confirming the arrival of quarantine products in these countries and are being implemented until an appropriate algorithm for ensuring the safety of shipped goods is developed.
"This once again confirms that the Armenian Ministry of Economy is experiencing structural problems and is failing to fulfill its mandate to oversee agricultural producers," the statement reads.
