“Gazprom Armenia” CJSC's license extended until January 1, 2026
YEREVAN, December 30. /ARKA/. At a meeting on Monday, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia extended the license of “Gazprom Armenia” CJSC to import gas into Armenia for one year, until January 1, 2026.
“Gazprom Armenia” CJSC is a 100% subsidiary of the Russian energy holding Gazprom. It is the sole supplier of natural gas from Russia to Armenia (for domestic consumption), which is delivered via transit through Georgia. The price of Russian gas for Armenia (at the border) in 2022 is $165 per 1,000 cubic meters.
In Armenia, socially vulnerable groups of the population are charged a tariff of 100,000 drams per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT), while other individual subscribers (consuming up to 600 cubic meters of gas per year) are charged 143.7 thousand drams per 1,000 cubic meters.
