Constitutional Court of Armenia will review the TRIPP agreement for compliance with the Constitution

On Tuesday, the Constitutional Court of Armenia will begin a written review of the constitutionality of the obligations enshrined in the TRIPP agreement.
YEREVAN, September 15. /ARKA/. On Tuesday, the Constitutional Court of Armenia will begin a written review of the constitutionality of the obligations enshrined in the TRIPP agreement.
Constitutional Court Judge Edgar Shatiryan has been appointed rapporteur on the case, according to Radio Azatutyun.
Following the review, the Constitutional Court will determine whether the obligations Armenia assumes under the framework agreement on strategic cooperation with the United States for the Trump Roadmap for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project comply with the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. The agreement was signed on June 1, 2026, in Washington, and on June 4, 2026, in Yerevan.
About the TRIPP Project
TRIPP (Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity) envisions the creation of multimodal transport and infrastructure connectivity within Armenia.
According to the framework agreement between Armenia and the United States, a joint venture, the TRIPP Development Company, was established to implement the project. The American side will own 74% and Armenia 26%. The company is expected to facilitate projects in areas such as railway and road infrastructure, oil and gas pipelines, fiber optic lines, and electricity.
The project is to be implemented within Armenia while preserving its territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction. In July 2026, the Armenian government launched the ratification process for the TRIPP framework agreement with the United States.
