Large-scale international stone festival to be held in Armenia
YEREVAN, April 17. /ARKA/. The 5th anniversary festival of Armenian stone "Armenian Stone Fest" will be held in Armenia on July 11-12. The founder of the Armenian stone festival, Yervand Badalyan, said this in an interview with the ARKA news agency.
"The festival has already become a kind of event for Armenia, our target audience, the stone processing industry, architects, designers, construction companies. Representatives of different countries get acquainted at this festival. Many guests come from Russia. After the festival, there were cases when designers and architects collaborated and created interesting projects related to Armenian stone, but outside of Armenia," Badalyan said.
According to him, the mission of the festival is to increase the recognition of Armenian stone in the international market. About 120 companies from Armenia usually take part in the festival. Last year, about 45 companies from Russia took part in the event. Business from Iran was represented.
He added that this year they plan to invite companies from the UAE, Italy and Spain. Badalyan also answered the question of how much demand there is for Armenian stone in international markets.
"At the moment, Sberbank is building its own city, Sbercity, in the Moscow region, and Armenian stone is being delivered there," the founder of the festival said, adding that the collaboration arose within the framework of the festival.
