Qatar Airways to look into expansion of cooperation with Armenia

Prospects for expansion of cooperation between Qatar Airways and Armenia were discussed by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian at a last week meeting with the Executive Director of the airline Akbar Al Baker.
YEREVAN, December 16. /ARKA/. Prospects for expansion of cooperation between Qatar Airways and Armenia were discussed by Armenian President Armen Sarkissian at a last week meeting with the Executive Director of the airline Akbar Al Baker.
According to Sarkissian's service, during an official visit to Qatar Sarkissian welcomed Qatar Airways' decision to operate direct flights between the two friendly countries suggesting that the sides discuss the possibility of increasing the number of flights, as well as the issue of transit flights through Armenia.
The Qatar Airways Executive Director expressed his readiness to explore the possibilities of expanding cooperation with Armenia, noting that the friendly relations between the two peoples and the leaders of the two countries provide a good basis for further cooperation.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place around the activities of the company, its tasks and further programs.
Qatar Airways is one of the largest airlines in the Middle East operating flights to 144 destinations. Its fleet consists of about 340 modern aircraft. Qatar Airways has been operating flights to Armenia since May 2016. --0--
