Average nominal salary in Armenia rises 12.7% to amd 98,138 in Jan-June 2009

An average nominal salary amounted to AMD 98,138 in Armenia in Jan-June 2009, after rising 12.7%, compared with the same period of the previous year, National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
YEREVAN, July 21. /ARKA/. An average nominal salary amounted to AMD 98,138 in Armenia in Jan-June 2009, after rising 12.7%, compared with the same period of the previous year, National Statistical Service of Armenia reports.
According to the statistical report, an average salary at state-run organizations was AMD 81,282 – 17.4% higher than that of the Jan-June 2008 and 3% higher, compared with May 2009.
Private organizations’ employees had their average salary increased 6.9% to 122,579 in Jan-June 2009, compared with the same period a year earlier, and 4.9%, compared with May 2009.
An average nominal salary rose 4% in June, compared with May. ($1 = AMD 365.55). -0-
