Almost 18,000 real estate transactions made in March

Some 17,984 real estate transactions were made in Armenia in March, a 10.5 % increase from the same period last year, the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre said.
YEREVAN, April 28. / ARKA /. Some 17,984 real estate transactions were made in Armenia in March, a 10.5 % increase from the same period last year, the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre said.
The number of transactions if compared with 2014 February increased by 6.6 %, it said. The largest number of transactions was registered in Yerevan - 34.3 % of the total number- and the lowest number – 2.2 percent - in Vayots Dzor region.
The central region of Kotayk accounted for 13.9 % of total transactions, Armavir – for 8.1%, Ararat – for 7.5%, Lori – for 6.9%, Gegharkunik – for 6.8% Shirak – for 6.1%, Aragatsotn – for 5.4%, Syunik – for 5.1% and in Tavush – for 3.7%.
According to the state cadastre, some 24.5 % of transactions were home sales and purchases, 12.3% of the transaction were the primary registration of new-built homes.
Another 10.9% of the total number of registered transactions were inheritance, 13.2 % were mortgage transactions, 4.3% were lease transactions. No home privatization transaction was registered in March, it said.
The average market price of a square meter of housing in apartment buildings in Yerevan in March increased by 0.02% from the year before. The highest price – 428,000 drams per square meter – was in Kentron administrative district in Yerevan and the lowest – 154,000 drams was in Nubarashen district.
The highest price per square meter of housing in apartment buildings outside the capital was in the resort town of Tsakhkadzor - 292,500 drams and the lowest – 8,000 drams – in Dastakert and Shamlugh rural communities in Lori and Syunik provinces respectively.
A slight increase in prices per square meter of housing was reported in Ashtarak, Aparan , Talin, Ashtarak , Vedi, Yeghvard , Artik , Yeghegnadzor and Jermuk towns, while prices of privately-owned homes across the country did not change. ($1 – 413.01 drams). -0-
