Armenia has been elected to the Executive Board of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) for the first time.
YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. Armenia has been elected to the Executive Board of the Intra-European Organization of Tax Administrations (IOTA) for the first time. The decision was made during the election of the organization's Executive Board during the 30th IOTA General Assembly in Budapest, the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia reported.
Armenia is represented at the event by a delegation led by SRC Chairman Eduard Hakobyan.
The SRC noted that Armenia's election to the Executive Board will allow the country's tax administration to more actively participate in the organization's strategic decision-making, deepen cooperation between member countries, and implement international best practices.
The meeting also included a panel discussion on current and future challenges facing tax authorities. Akopyan spoke at the event, presenting his vision of IOTA's role in the international tax system and the organization's future priorities.
