Armenia Expands Fruit, Vegetable, and Flower Exports – Volumes Announced for June-August

From June to August 2026, Armenia exported approximately 4,506 tons of peppers, 4,041 tons of tomatoes, 0.3 tons of eggplants, 408.6 tons of strawberries, as well as approximately 10 million pieces and 102.7 tons of flowers.

From June to August 2026, Armenia exported approximately 4,506 tons of peppers, 4,041 tons of tomatoes, 0.3 tons of eggplants, 408.6 tons of strawberries, as well as approximately 10 million pieces and 102.7 tons of flowers. These figures were presented at a government meeting on Thursday.
In August alone, exports totaled approximately 2,737 tons of peppers, 2,888 tons of tomatoes, 0.3 tons of eggplants, 146 tons of strawberries, as well as approximately 3.5 million pieces and 36 tons of flowers.
Furthermore, the export geography expanded from June to August: flowers were shipped to 28 countries, fruits to 24 countries, and vegetables to 16 countries.
Extending Government Support
At its meeting on September 3, the government decided to extend support measures for greenhouse produce exports into September. Under the program, compensation amounts are set at the following rates:
Strawberries – 770 drams per kg;
Tomatoes – 275 drams per kg;
Cherry tomatoes – 400 drams per kg;
Peppers – 400 drams per kg;
Palermo peppers – 500 drams per kg;
Eggplants – 200 drams per kg;
Flowers – 50 drams per piece.
According to forecasts, export volumes under the program in September will total approximately 200 tons of strawberries, 3,850 tons of vegetables, and 5.2 million flowers.
Fruit and Berry Exports
According to current data from the Food Safety Inspectorate, approximately 3,685 tons of cherries, 795 tons of plums, 4,175 tons of peaches and nectarines, 430 tons of apples, 120 tons of grapes, and 142 tons of figs, raspberries, and blackberries were exported from June to August 2026.
In August, exports totaled approximately 770 tons of cherries, 375 tons of plums, 2,650 tons of peaches and nectarines, 389 tons of apples, 120 tons of grapes, and 94 tons of figs, raspberries, and blackberries.
Fruits were exported to 24 countries from June to August.
Processed Products, Beverages, and Fish
According to the State Revenue Committee, approximately 310 tons of tomato paste, 634,000 liters of bottled grape wine, 818,000 liters of bottled fruit and berry wine, 3.121 million absolute liters of bottled Armenian brandy or Armenian cognac, 2.674 million liters of bottled natural mineral water, 157 tons of dried fruits and vegetables, as well as 73 tons of sturgeon and 80 tons of trout were exported from June to August 2026.
China is included in the list of countries to which compensation is provided for the export of bottled natural mineral water.
According to exporter forecasts, in September, the program's export volume could reach approximately 100 tons of tomato paste, 1 million liters of mineral water, 200,000 liters of bottled grape wine, 210,000 liters of fruit and berry wine, 1 million absolute liters of bottled Armenian brandy or Armenian cognac, 100 tons of dried fruits and vegetables, and 240 tons of trout and sturgeon.
Procurement for Processing
According to operational information from processing organizations, as of September 1, 2026, approximately 4,600 tons of peaches and approximately 50 tons of figs had been purchased for processing under the program.
Compensation for the purchase of peaches and figs for processing is planned to continue until October 1.
The projected volume of fruit purchased for processing in September is approximately 4,200 tons.
Overall, according to exporters' forecasts, the volume of fruit and berry exports under the program in September could reach approximately 11,600 tons.
