Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has assured that 7% economic growth will be achieved in Armenia by the end of 2025.
YEREVAN, October 28. /ARKA/. Armenia's Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has assured that 7% economic growth will be achieved in Armenia by the end of 2025.
"I am confident that economic growth by the end of the year will be higher than planned," Papoyan said during the parliamentary discussion of the 2026 budget.
He recalled that, according to preliminary data, Armenia's economic activity index in January-September 2025 registered a 7.6% increase compared to January-September 2024.
Armenian Economic Figures and Forecasts
Armenia's 2025 state budget projects economic growth at 5.1%. According to the Central Bank's monetary policy report for the third quarter of this year, Armenia's GDP growth is expected to be 5.8-5.7% by the end of 2025. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) forecasts Armenia's GDP growth at 5.5% in 2025. The World Bank expects Armenia's economy to grow by 5.2% in 2025, the IMF by 5%, the EBRD by 5%, and the ADB by 6%. Fitch Ratings forecasts Armenia's economic growth at 4.9% in 2025, while the UN expects the Armenian economy to grow by 5.2%.-0-
