Armenia's domestic trade upped 23% in the first nine months of 2023 from the same time span of 2022 to over 3.7 trillion drams (in current prices), the National Statistical Committee reported.

YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's domestic trade upped 23% in the first nine months of 2023 from the same time span of 2022 to over 3.7 trillion drams (in current prices), the National Statistical Committee reported.

It said the wholesale trade grew by 31.4 % to a little over 2.3 trillion drams; retail trade amounted to over 1.2 trillion drams, up 7.1% from the first nine months of 2022. Sales of vehicles raised over 187.7 billion drams growing by 55% year-on-year.

Stores accounted for 82% of the retail trade or over 1 trillion drams showing 10% y-o-y growth. Consumer goods markets accounted for 3.8 % of the total or over 47.5 billion drams having dropped by 0.4%.

Farmer markets accounted for 1.1% of the total or about 12.2 billion drams growing by 0.4%. Kiosk trade dropped by 2.6% to over 16.5 billion drams. Other trade outlets accounted for about 146.9 billion drams or 11.8% of the total. ($1 – 402.66 drams) -0-
