YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan denied reports of an allegedly planned transfer of a village in Lori province (ostensibly to Georgia) as part of border delimitation between the two countries.

"A number of media outlets have circulated 'information' that an agreement has allegedly been reached as part of the delimitation process, according to which Armenia will transfer the village of Jiliza of the enlarged community of Alaverdi," Baghdasaryan wrote on her Facebook page.

According to her, any statement, idea, or "information" about an intention, plan, or agreement to transfer any part of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia to another country cannot be true.

"Therefore, as before, we continue to refute, and will continue to refute, any publications of this nature as fictitious," Baghdasaryan noted.

The Alaverdi community is located in the Lori region in northeastern Armenia, near the border with Georgia.

On April 27, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced the existence of an "agenda for completing the process of delimiting our border with Georgia."

He also stated that the process of delimiting the Armenian-Azerbaijani border will continue in the near future and be completed within a reasonable timeframe.-0-
