YEREVAN, April 28. /ARKA/. The Russian state-owned labeling system "Honest Sign" has suspended sales of a batch of Jermuk mineral water (Armenia) in offline and online stores in Russia.
As Revaz Yusupov, Deputy General Director of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (labeling operator), told RBC, 338,000 bottles were in circulation and are now blocked pending an inspection.
The reason for the suspension was a letter from Rospotrebnadzor, in which the agency stated the need to "take urgent measures to prevent possible harm to the life and health of Russian citizens." The reason for the blocking was "violations of mandatory requirements."
The ban applies to products with production dates of February 17, 2026, and March 5, 2026. Yusupov noted that "these products will not reach consumers until the inspection is completed."
ARKA News Agency contacted the Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia for comment. The agency noted that it had recently received information on this matter and promised to respond later.
