Armenia to export honey to European Union

Armenia appeared on the list of countries allowed to export honey to the European Union countries, the state food safety service of Armenian ministry of agriculture reported referring to the EU official decision.
YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Armenia appeared on the list of countries allowed to export honey to the European Union countries, the state food safety service of Armenian ministry of agriculture reported referring to the EU official decision.
The residue monitoring plan for honey and bee products and other supporting documentation submitted by Armenia’s food safety service to the EU DG SANCO were approved by the European Commission and the EU-member countries.
According to ArmStat, Armenian honey exports dropped by 73.2% from $110,700 to $29,600 over 2012.
Armenian customs service reports that a total of 2.4 tons of honey worth $24,700 were exported in the first half of this year.–0—
