China to provide Armenia with 100 million Yuans in gratuitous aid

The government of China will provide Armenia with 100 million yuan free aid after Armenian parliament ratifies the agreement on technical and economic cooperation signed between the governments of the two countries on November 15, 2021, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan said at a discussion of the agreement by a parliamentary committee on Tuesday, the press service of the Armenian parliament reported.

YEREVAN, February 22. /ARKA/. The government of China will provide Armenia with 100 million yuan free aid after Armenian parliament ratifies the agreement on technical and economic cooperation signed between the governments of the two countries on November 15, 2021, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan said at a discussion of the agreement by a parliamentary committee on Tuesday, the press service of the Armenian parliament reported.

Safaryan added that the development of cooperation with China is one of the priorities of the Armenian government's foreign policy.

He noted at Tuesday's session of the parliamentary committee on science, education, culture, Diaspora, youth and sports affairs that the countries enjoy high level political dialogue having signed also more than 50 agreements and memorandums.

According to Safaryan, over the past three decades, some of these agreements have greatly contributed to deepening the existing cooperation in a number of areas.

The non-refundable aid will be used to design and construct the broadcasting hall of the Public Television of Armenia and implementation of other projects. -0-
