Electricity generation in Armenia in January-November increased by 5.9% to 8.4 billion kWh
YEREVAN, 14 January. /ARKA/. Over 8.4 billion kWh of electricity was generated in Armenia in January-November 2024, which is 5.9% more than in the same period of 2023, according to the National Statistical Committee.
The largest share of electricity was generated by the thermal power plants- over 3.1 billion kWh, a decline of 5.4%. The share of the Armenian NPP was about 2.5 billion kWh, 4.5% growth, and the share of HPPs was about 1.9 billion kWh, 20.9% growth.
Heliostations produced 913.8 million kWh of electricity during the reporting period (up 31.8%), while wind farms produced 1.1 million kWh (down 40.7%).
Electricity production volumes also include the electricity produced by autonomous power producers. -0-
