Russia's Federal Customs Service admits that Kazakhstan's membership in the World Trade Organization may strike at the Customs Union member countries' budgets.
YEREVAN, October 26. /ARKA/. Russia's Federal Customs Service admits that Kazakhstan's membership in the World Trade Organization may strike at the Customs Union member countries' budgets.
Nevertheless, Andrey Belyaninov, the head of the Federal Customs Service, called on the countries to take the new circumstances easy.
«Yes, there are some budget loss threats for the Customs Union countries, and maybe our Belarusian colleagues have grounds for alarm,» he is quoted by Eurasian Communication Center as saying in an interview with Russia 24 TV Channel. «It concerns us, but I think this will be done without hysterics.»
Belyaninov said that 'methodically nothing is changed for the customs service, only parameters are changed – the number of seizures etc'. «I think we will be able to find and we will surely find a decision acceptable to all,» said in his interview.
The Eurasian Economic Union states have adopted a number of documents ensuring compliance with WTO requirements by Kazakhstan without inflicting damage to the economic union partners.
The Federal Customs Service and the Eurasian Economic Commission promised not to restore customs control on the border with Kazakhstan and to preserve the common market. ---0-----
