The first deal to export goods from Armenia to Azerbaijan has likely already been concluded, announced Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"I believe the first deal has already been concluded. But I would prefer it to be finalized, and then, I think, the companies themselves will announce it," Pashinyan said at a briefing on Thursday.
According to the prime minister, the government does not intend to disclose the details of such commercial agreements.
"We do not discuss such deals in detail. Our task is to create political conditions so that business communities can work with each other and see what mutual interests exist," he said.
Pashinyan clarified that the relevant agreement has already been concluded, but the companies are still completing their internal procedures.
"Specifically, both the agreement and the deal already exist. The fact has already been concluded, but let the companies complete their internal procedures. Information on this will be available," the prime minister stated.
Earlier, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Ararat Mirzoyan reported that Azerbaijani companies had purchased goods from Armenian companies.
On the supply of goods between Armenia and Azerbaijan
Cargo transit to Armenia through Azerbaijan became possible after Baku announced the lifting of all restrictions on such transit on October 21, 2025.
The first rail shipments of Russian and Kazakh grain arrived in Armenia via Azerbaijan and Georgia in November 2025.
Direct deliveries of goods from Azerbaijan to Armenia began on December 19, 2025. A 22-car train carrying 1,218 tons of Azerbaijani-produced A95 gasoline arrived in the republic by rail via Georgia. The fuel was purchased by two private companies.
Further deliveries of petroleum products from Azerbaijan continued.
According to the South Caucasus Railway, by mid-May 2026, approximately 45,000 tons of cargo from Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan had been transported through Azerbaijan to Armenia.
