YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. Security Service of South Caucasus Railway company (SCR) passed yesterday physical training standard exam, the company reports on Thursday.

All workers who were not on duty both, in Yerevan and in the departments, passed the exam. The exam included running at 1 kilometer, 100 meters, pulling up on the bar.

All those workers who failed it , will have a chance to pass the exam in a month. In case of the second failure the Service management may request dismissal of those employees.

“CJSC "SCR" attaches great importance to the physical training of the security personnel, taking into account that it’s their duty to maintain order, protect the passengers and assure safety on railway on the whole,” according to the source.

South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway.

Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years.-0-
