A five-day seminar on support for international radiology trainings on emergency response and radiation event medical management started in Yerevan Monday, in the regional nuclear security training centre of the State Engineering University of Armenia, the press office of the university reported.

YEREVAN, August 26. /ARKA/. A five-day seminar on support for international radiology trainings on emergency response and radiation event medical management started in Yerevan Monday, in the regional nuclear security training centre of the State Engineering University of Armenia, the press office of the university reported.

The seminar is held in the framework of a cooperation program between the United States National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and the State Engineering University of Armenia. A delegation of 11 high-ranking officials from US Department of State arrived in Yerevan to participate in the seminar.

Heads and experts from respective agencies, including the ministry of emergencies, ministry of defence, ministry of territorial administration, ministry of health, the police, the state committee for nuclear security, the Armenian NPP and others.

Modern equipment and technologies for radiation detection will be used during the seminar.–0--
