Currency exchange office in Yerevan attacked

A currency exchange office in downtown Yerevan, located at 37, Khanjian street, was attacked Wednesday evening, Novosti-Armenia news agency reported quoting deputy head of the press service of the Armenian Police, Mushegh Kroyan.

Armenia’s Channel 2 TV company said the attacker opened fire wounding a man in the leg.
According to the testimony of witnesses, the wounded man is an employee of the exchange office, while others said it was a passerby. According to the TV channel, the attacker fled, taking a bag with $10,000. The police refrained from comments yesterday evening and e were investigating the scene. -0-
