A popular Armenian actor Yervand Yengibaryan died in a car accident in Yerevan, the press office of Armenian ministry of emergencies reported as quoted by Novosti-Armenia.

YEREVAN, October 22. /ARKA/. A popular Armenian actor Yervand Yengibaryan died in a car accident in Yerevan, the press office of Armenian ministry of emergencies reported as quoted by Novosti-Armenia.

The accident occurred at Miasnikyan Avenue Monday night. Yengibaryan drove his Mercedes off the road, ran into a post and turned over; the actor died at the scene.

The passenger of the car was transferred to Surb Grigor Lusavorich hospital in critical condition.
Yervand Yengibaryan was born in 1983. He graduated from the Actors’ Studio of the Yerevan State Russian Theatre after Stanislavsky and directorial department of the Yerevan State Theatre and Cinema Institute. Yengibaryan was a leading actor and director in the Theatre after Stanislavsky.

Yengibaryan featured in Armenian films and series. The last film he featured is Armenian-Kazakhstani Knight’s Move that has recently come out.

In 2007 Yengibaryan received the highest theatre award in Armenia, “Artavazd”, as Best Young Actor for the role of Khlestakov in performance themed on Gogol’s Revizor.  –0--
