Armenian military fighter crashes killing both pilots

Armenia’s Defense Ministry said rescuers have found the crash site of a combat fighter SU-25 that went missing over the northern second-largest city of Gyumri today in the morning.

YEREVAN, December 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Defense Ministry said rescuers have found the crash site of a combat fighter SU-25 that went missing over the northern second-largest city of Gyumri today in the morning.
The press secretary of the ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan wrote on his Facebook page that the fighter crashed in the Maralik district, in the mountains. The dead pilots are Lieutenant Colonel Armen Babayan and Major Movses Manukyan. He expressed condolences in connection with the tragedy.
The ministry said earlier contact with the fighter was lost at around 10:20. The fighter took off at 10:06 from the Gyumri airport for a regular training flight -0-
