On Wednesday, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan discussed infrastructure development in the country with a delegation led by European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President Karl Nehammer.
YEREVAN, May 6. /ARКА/. On Wednesday, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan discussed infrastructure development in the country with a delegation led by European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President Karl Nehammer.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including road construction, infrastructure development, energy, the water sector, and other areas.
The parties confirmed their readiness to continue effective cooperation aimed at implementing current programs and further expanding the scope of cooperation, the press service of the Armenian government reported.
The Deputy Prime Minister praised the effective cooperation that has developed with the EIB and thanked the bank for its ongoing support in implementing programs in line with the Armenian government's reform agenda.

The EIB has been cooperating with Armenia since 2010, operating in the country under the European Neighborhood Policy's Eastern Partnership program and other bilateral agreements with the EU. The Bank has financed a range of projects, from infrastructure and small businesses to water supply and wastewater treatment services.
The EIB also finances the construction of cross-border communications to improve road safety and sustainability.
