Armenian president condoles death of innocent people in Orlando
YEREVAN, 13 June. /ARKA/. Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences to US President Barack Obama in connection with the horrific terrorist attack in one of the clubs in the city of Orlando, which killed and wounded dozens of innocent people.

On June 12 the U.S.-born gunman, identified as Omar Mateen, opened fire in a packed nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing at least 50 people, and wounding 53 others. The attack, which happened early Sunday at Pulse, a gay club in Orlando, is the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

After the shooting began, Mateen called 911 to pledge his allegiance to ISIS, according to law enforcement officials. Mateen died in a gun battle with authorities after taking hostages.

In a statement, issued by Sargsyan’s press service, the president strongly condemned this appalling display of intolerance  stressing that this horrific tragedy once again proved that all manifestations of hatred, the overcoming of which is the common duty and mission of  all, remains a serious challenge for humanity even in the 21st century. -0-
