Criminal procedure initiated on death of businessman Abram Amirkhanyan

A criminal case has been instituted on the death of the head of a large construction company “Levon Amirkhanyan” Abram Amirkhanyan, the official facebook page of Armenia’s investigative committee reported.
YEREVAN, February 17. /ARKA/. A criminal case has been instituted on the death of the head of a large construction company “Levon Amirkhanyan” Abram Amirkhanyan, the official facebook page of Armenia’s investigative committee reported.
According to the report, Amirkhanyan was found dead, with gunshot wound to the chest, in his country house, 25 kilometers from Yerevan, at 10:40 local time.
A VIKING gun was found next to the body, with a magazine and three bullets, and a 9mm shell in the clothing of the killed, according to the report.
A criminal procedure is initiated on incitement to suicide charges. The investigation is under way.
Earlier media reports said that several high-ranking officials who bought apartments in a residential building at Sayat-Nova 40 in the center of Yerevan, built by Amirkhanyan’s company, could lose their apartments because they were mortgaged at a bank. The owners of apartments could not register them, said the reports. -0-
