Earthquake recorded near Armenian Spitak

Armenia’s Seismic Protection Service has recorded an earthquake early in the morning today in the northern province of Lori, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.

YEREVAN, August 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Seismic Protection Service has recorded an earthquake early in the morning today in the northern province of Lori, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
It said the 2.5 magnitude tremor was recorded at 05:07 am 10 kilometers south-east of the city of Spitak at the depth of 10 km. The strength of the tremor in the epicenter was 3 points on Richter scale. Two tremors had been recorded earlier in Armenia. Their epicenter was near the city of Amasia in the northwestern region of Shirak. -0-
