No new storms in the Armenian capital are expected, deputy head of weather forecast department of the Armenian Weather Center Gagik Surenyan said today.

YEREVAN, May 23. /ARKA/. No new storms in the Armenian capital are expected, deputy head of weather forecast department of the Armenian Weather Center Gagik Surenyan said today.
The capital and several regions of the country were hit today afternoon by a strong storm. Emergency situations ministry said there are some uprooted trees, and damage to parked vehicles, homes and businesses from falling trees.
There were no reports of injuries. In some places power lines and gas pipes were damaged and fires were reported.
"We expect the wind to get stronger, but it will not be as strong,' said Surenyan. -- 0-
