Armenia’s police released today new details of the conflict on one of Lake Sevan’s beaches, which resulted in the killing of two men.

YEREVAN, July 31. /ARKA/. Armenia’s police released today new details of the conflict on one of Lake Sevan’s beaches, which resulted in the killing of two men.

The police received an alarming call on Sunday at 19:00 about a free-for-all on a Sevan beach, and 15 minutes later another call came from Sevan Medical Center brought the word of the death of Ashot Hovhannisyan, 60.  

It has become known from the investigation launched into the case that at 18:50 a conflict broke out between Ashot Hovhannisyan with his two sons and David Araqelyan, 28, with his friends, which grew into a fighting that killed Ahot Hovhannisyan.   

Edgar Hovhahhisyan, the killed man’s son, 36, chased David Araqelyan. At 19:05 on the 62nd kilometer of Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan road he forced the latter to go out of the car and fired at him from a hunting riffle. 

Edgar Hovhanisyan gave himself up to the police and submitted the hunting gun registered to his name. 

The inquiry is under way now. --0----
