Two soldiers wounded in Artsakh because of careless handling of explosives
YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Two contract servicemen of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army were wounded as a result of violation of explosives handling and non-compliance with safety rules, the Artsakh Defense Ministry reported today. It said their condition is critical.
The incident occurred on August 8. The wounded servicemen are Gurgen Danielyan and Artur Arushanyan. The ministry launched an investigation to find out more details of the incident.
In another news from Nagorno-Karabakh Azerbaijani armed forces breached the ceasefire in some segments of the line of contact.
According to the ministry's press service, the situation on the line of contact is relatively stable, although the tension persists.
"In some sections of the line of contact, units of the Azerbaijani armed forces again violated the ceasefire by using firearms of various caliber," according to the Ministry of Defense.
It said also that steps were being taken jointly with the Russian peacekeeping contingent to further stabilize the situation. --0--
