Armenia focuses on full-scale cooperation with Switzerland, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edvard Nalbandyan said during his meeting with Federal Chancellor of the Swiss Confederation Micheline Calmy-Rey.
YEREVAN, June 27. /ARKA/. Armenia focuses on full-scale cooperation with Switzerland, RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Edvard Nalbandyan said during his meeting with Federal Chancellor of the Swiss Confederation Micheline Calmy-Rey.
The Minister highly appreciated the considerable assistance Switzerland has rendered to Armenia since the country declared independence.
The Swiss and Armenian foreign ministers said opinions of both countries coincide in a number of international issues.
Nalbandyan stressed the importance of bilateral economic cooperation. For this purpose, the Armenian and Swiss governments plan to simplify the visa system.
The participants to the meeting touched upon the current negotiations over the Karabakh conflict settlement and regional stability issues. –0--
