YEREVAN, June 25. /ARKA/. The Interagency Commission of the Armenia-NATO individual partnership plan (IPAP) discussed issues of IPAP implementation in Armenia.

The press and information department, RA Foreign Office reports that the commission discussed the work on establishing a crisis management center, Armenia’s participation in the “Crisis Management 2008” training, further steps to elaborate an information strategy and other issues.

Special Representative of the NATO Secretary General in the South Caucasus Robert Simmons took an active part in the discussions.

The commission’s meeting was chaired by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakosyan.

The Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) was signed was signed in December 2005. Armenia’s participation implies regular consultations on regional security with NATO, elaboration of a security strategy, elaboration of Armenia’s military doctrine, improvement of defense and budgetary planning, etc. P.T. –0--
