YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. Cooperation agreement between Armenia and Russia in humanitarian sphere will be possibly signed this year by the initiative of Serzh Sargsyan, President of Armenia, said Viktor Krivopuskov, Advisor of Russian Embassy in Armenia, Head of Representation of Russian Cooperation in Armenia.

Previous document determining cooperation between Armenia and Russia in the spheres of science, education and culture was signed in 1995.

“Since then the format of our relations has been changes. In this agreement migration, immigration and innovation issues are included”, he said. This new document will be aimed at the period before 2020 and reflect the issues and problems of humanitarian sphere “which is more expanded than science, education and culture”.

“We assume that it is high time to include humanitarian sphere in our allied and strategic relations not only in economy, military-technical and scientific-technical but also in spirit”, he said.

Krivopuskov said that this document will have mutual character.

“There is an Armenian Diaspora in Russia. It is necessary to study Armenian language in Russia and popularize history and culture of Armenia and our general history”, he said. Aother important issue is the issue of protection of rights and interests of Russians living in Armenia and integration in Armenian reality.-0—
