Lori region of Armenia and Russian entities establish cooperation

YEREVAN, August 26. /ARKA/. Issues of inter-regional and inter-municipal cooperation of Lori region of Armenia with Russian entities have been discussed in Vanadzor.

In the discussion which took place on Monday in Vanadzor administration, Head of Representation of Federal Agency “Rossotrudnichestvo”, Advisor of Russian Embassy in Armenia Victor Krivopuskov, Governor of Lori region Aram Kocharyan and City Mayor of Vanadzor Samvel Darbinyan participated.

They discussed cooperation issues with Volgograd region, Stavropol region and Republic of Tatarstan in the sphere of innovations, construction industry, development of different types of small and medium-sized business, cultural-humanitarian sphere, introduction of projects and programs.

Special attention was paid to the assessment of the potential of chemical branches of Russia and Armenia, as well as opportunities of rehabilitation of technologies lost in post-soviet period and development of new technological cycles of industries were discussed.

They particularly discussed cooperation issues of chemical CJSC “Vanadzor-Khimprom” with petrochemical Open JSC "Nizhnekamskneftkhim”.

The parties agreed that training of professionals should be the main component of cooperation. In Thereupon, they discussed the opportunity of opening the branch of Kazan State Technological University in Vanadzor which is one of the leading institutions in oil-and-gas chemical educational clusters of Russia.

Deputy Head of Representation of Federal Agency “Rossotrudnichestvo” Magdi Hasanov and Vice-President of Armenian National Cultural autonomy of Russia Mikhail Khachatryan also participated in the meeting.  --0--
