The fifth Caucasian International Scientific and Practical Conference will be launched in Yerevan on September 30 and wrapped up on October 2.
YEREVAN, September 30. /ARKA/. The fifth Caucasian International Scientific and Practical Conference will be launched in Yerevan on September 30 and wrapped up on October 2.
The conference is organized by RIA Novosti News Agency and the Armenian president’s administration.
This is a special media project of RIA Novosti.
The Russian news agency started holding this annual conference in Yerevan in 2006.
This regular event is given a high profile in media outlets in Russia, CIS and South-Caucasian countries.
This year’s conference is being held in cooperation with the Armenia president’s administration.
The theme of this year’s conference is cooperation among Caucasian countries’ media outlets as instrument to maintenance of stability in the region, which is in need of an effective media support.
Consolidation of South-Caucasian scientists, experts and journalists is aimed at improvement of media environment in the region including four Caucasian countries.
This year’s conference is expected to be more effective, since delegations from all South-Caucasian countries will be present at the event this time.
The largest delegation of newsmakers, chief editors of leading media outlets, well-known journalists and TV reporters will come from Russia.
Konstantin Simonov, the president of National Energy Security Fund, Nikolay Zlobin, director of European and Asian Programs of the U.S. World Security Institute, Kirill Tanaev, director general of Effective Policy Fund, Alan Kasaev, head of RIA Novosti News Agency’s editorial board for CIS and Baltic countries, high-profile TV commentators Leonid Mlechin and Alexander Gurnov, as well as Gia Meparishvili, a prominent expert from Georgia, and Alexander Rusetsky, head of South-Caucasian Regional Security Institute, will be among the conference participants.
