President: Armenian-Turkmen cooperation has room for further development

Armenia and Turkmenistan has room for developing their cooperation in energy and transport areas, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said Wednesday in Turkmenistan, where he flew for an official visit.
YEREVAN, November 25. /ARKA/. Armenia and Turkmenistan has room for developing their cooperation in energy and transport areas, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said Wednesday in Turkmenistan, where he flew for an official visit.
“I think we will manage to ensure further expansion of our trade and economic relations with joint efforts and to give them a new impetus,” Armenian presidential press office quoted Sarghsyan as saying. “There is room for developing cooperation in energy, transport, agriculture and textile industries. I am convinced that business forums, one of which launched today in Ashkhabad, create chances for presenting our products and establishing direct ties between economic entities.”
Armenian and Turkmen presidents stressed the importance of the intergovernmental economic cooperation commission’s activity.
The presidents also outlined humanitarian cooperation prospects.
They signed agreements on cooperation in culture and education areas.
“Now days of Armenian cinema are being held in Turkmenistan, and relations in healthcare area are being developed. Sargsyan finds it very important. He thinks such tendencies should be developed,” the press office reports. -0-
