YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. The Armenian Foreign Ministry welcomed the 10-day ceasefire in Lebanon, calling it an important step towards de-escalation.
"We welcome the 10-day ceasefire in Lebanon, achieved through the mediation of the US President, as an important step towards de-escalation," the Armenian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry thinks that this development will contribute to achieving a comprehensive and sustainable peace in the region while respecting the territorial integrity of the parties.
A 10-day ceasefire with Israel took effect in Lebanon at midnight on Friday, April 17. The agreement was reached between Joseph Aoun and Benjamin Netanyahu under the mediation of US President Donald Trump.
