Armenia’s Minister of Justice Gevorg Danielyan and Ago” monitoring group of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe discussed the issues connected with Armenia’s commitments before the CE.
YEREVAN, July 3. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Minister of Justice Gevorg Danielyan and Ago” monitoring group of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe discussed the issues connected with Armenia’s commitments before the CE.

The Minister’s assistant Lana Mshetsyan said that Danielyan presented the process of implementing legislative reforms, being consequence of reformed Constitution, as well as work implemented and planned within the judicial and legal reforms and issues concerning combat against organized crime.

Besides, the sides touched upon issues concerning amendments to the Law “On Television and Radio”, envisaging prohibition of activity of other broadcasting organizations on frequencies provided by Armenia’s Public TV and Radio Company.

The “Ago” monitoring group of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe headed by Ambassador Per Sjogren arrived in Armenia on a two-day visit on July 2.

The delegation of European Ambassadors consisted of Wendellin Heitmeyer (Austria), Bruno Genne (France), Eberhard Koelsch (Germany), Peteris Elfertz (Latvia), Stelian Stoyan (Romania), Alexander Alekseev (Russia) and Per Sjorgen (Sweden). L.M. –0--
