YEREVAN, February 10, /ARKA/. Armenia is eager to expand trade and economic contacts with Iraq, economy minister Tigran Davtian told a government session today after the Cabinet approved a proposal to sign two agreements with Iraq on economic cooperation and mutual encouragement and protection of investments.
He said they are standard intergovernmental agreements which will provide new opportunities to Armenia and Iraq to expand their economic contacts.
The government said in a press release that the initiative to sign the agreements belonged to the Armenian side being aimed at giving a push to development of their bilateral relations and securing Armenia’s possible involvement in rehabilitation projects in Iraq. -0-
