Next round of negotiations on the association agreement Armenia-EU to be held in Yerevan on October 26

Seventh plenary session on negotiations on the Association Agreement Armenia-EU will take place in the Armenian Foreign Ministry on October 26, press-service of the Ministry informed ARKA News Agency.

YEREVAN, October 25. /ARKA/. Seventh plenary session on negotiations on the Association Agreement Armenia-EU will take place in the Armenian Foreign Ministry on October 26, press-service of the Ministry informed ARKA News Agency.

During the meeting, the main goals of the future agreement, as well as a number of issues on political dialogue and cooperation in legal sphere will be discussed.

The head of the Armenian delegation will be Deputy Foreign Minister, Chief Negotiator from the Armenian side Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, and EU negotiation team – Director on the issues of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia in the chief directorate of foreign relations Gunnar Wiegand.

At the end of the meeting a joint press-conference of Mnatsakanyan and Wiegand will be held.

Negotiations on the Association Agreement Armenia-EU started on June 19, 2010 in Yerevan. The upcoming agreement will substitute the agreement on partnership and cooperation and is aimed at strengthening the relations between Armenia and European Union in different spheres, particularly in the sphere of foreign policy, democracy, economic integration, movement of people and energy.  --0-
