Speaker of Armenian parliament Tigran Torosian to visit Bulgaria in 2008

The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament will visit Bulgaria in 2008. This statement was made by the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Tigran Torosian in response to the invitation of Bulgaria’s Prime-Minister Sergey Stanishev to visit Sofia.
YEREVAN, November 14. /ARKA/. The Speaker of the Armenian Parliament will visit Bulgaria in 2008. This statement was made by the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Tigran Torosian in response to the invitation of Bulgaria’s Prime-Minister Sergey Stanishev to visit Sofia.
The visit of Stanishev to Armenia is an important incentive to development of the bilateral relations, the Press Service of Armenia’s Parliament reported referring to Torosian.
Torosian pointed out the centuries-old friendship between Bulgarian and Armenian peoples and harmonious development of bilateral relations in the last years, including the cooperation in international structures.
Torosian expressed satisfaction with the level of development of inter-parliamentary relations and informed that a group of friendship with Bulgaria has been set in the Armenian Parliament.
The Prime-Minister of Bulgaria Sergey Stanishev, in his turn, pointed out that despite the change of governments and parliaments, the atmosphere pf friendship and cooperation remains constant and is a precondition for development of the relations.
Stanishev stressed the importance of development of parliament links with Armenia especially having in mind that Bulgaria is a parliament republic.
The Bulgarian Premier addressed also programs of Black Sea Regional Cooperation and proposed Armenia to take serious part in them.
Speaking of the cultural links, Stanishev expressed satisfaction with the Year of Bulgaria to be held in Armenia in 2008.
Among the participants in the meeting of Torosian and Stanishev were the Vice-Speaker Arevik Petrosian, chairmen of standing parliament commission and the head of Armenia-Bulgaria parliament friendship group, ambassadors of the two countries Stephan Dimitrov and Sergey Manasarian and the Minister of Transport and Communication of Armenia Andranik Manukian.–0--
