Shirinyan said violations were registered at the capital’s polling stations 10/19 and 10/20, both in the centre of Yerevan. However, he refused to reveal the name of the candidate whose supporters broke the law. He said the reported cases are being investigated now.
Shirinyan also said the law enforcement bodies received information that some people are distributing forms N9 (meant for the citizens who have lost their passports) near the “Tashir” trade centre, but inspections did not confirm the information.
“An act of violence occurred against the authorized person of presidential candidate Levon Ter-Petrossian in Kotayk. The case is being investigated now and a forensic medical examination is underway,” Shirinyan said.
At 9:00 a.m., the Police received an alarm from Levon Ter-Petrossyan’s authorized representative Larissa Torossyan claiming that three unknown people forcibly took her out of the polling station, and then a certain Edik Babayan beat her in the car demanding that she should not interfere in the activity of the district electoral commission.
