Highest turnout recorded in Gegharkunik region, Armenia
YEREVAN, February 20. /ARKA/. The highest turnout in the presidential election in Armenia was recorded in the Gegharkunik region, where 132,006 people or 74.81% of voters had participated in the voting by 8:00 p.m. on February 19.
The lowest turnout was recorded in the Shirak region – 137,468 people or 63.7% of voters.
530,575 people or 69.47% of voters participated in the voting in Yerevan, 71,215 or 67.74% in the Aragatsotn region, 140,096 or 72.08% in Armavir, 135,801 or 66.26% in Ararat, 152,451 or 71.08% in Kotayk, 149.935 or 66.17% in Lori, 32,759 or 71.62% in Vaiots Dzor, 72,917 or 68.96% in Tavush.
According to the preliminary information, 1,642,057 voters (69.26%) participated in the presidential election in Armenia.
