About 67% of Armenian residents do not believe in signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan on terms acceptable to Yerevan - Gallup poll
YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. About 67% of respondents of a public opinion poll in Armenia believe that the current authorities are unable to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan on terms that will meet the interests of the Republic of Armenia.
Aram Navasardyan, head of the Armenian office of Gallup International Association, told at a press conference on Wednesday that another 18.2% of the respondents said that the authorities are 'rather unable' to do this, and 48.8% said they are 'definitely unable.
According to him, only 8.7% of respondents believe that Armenian authorities are able to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan on terms acceptable to the Armenian side. The number of those who beleived in this in 2023 was about 30%.
A total of 1,101 respondents took part in the telephone survey conducted from March 27 to 29. -0-
