YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. Armenia does not intend to join the European Union's sanctions against Russia, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters.
"We have stated that we will not join the sanctions regime. At the same time, we will not take steps that could subject us to sanctions. Unlike Russia, Armenia will not withstand sanctions. We have communicated this to both our Russian and European partners," he said.
According to Pashinyan, there were suspicions in the European Union that Armenia was assisting Russia in evading sanctions.
"To allay these concerns, European experts were invited, who recorded in writing that Armenia is not doing so," the Prime Minister noted.
