The Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan received on Monday a German delegation led by Michael Roth, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the German Bundestag, the Armenian parliament's press service reported.

YEREVAN, October 23. /ARKA/. The Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan received on Monday a German delegation led by Michael Roth, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the German Bundestag, the Armenian parliament's press service reported.

It said the sides emphasized the stable development of German-Armenian friendly relations and deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The exodus of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and problems resulting from Baku's policy of ethnic cleansing were discussed as well.

The German parliamentarian noted that they had not taken sufficient steps to prevent Azerbaijan's aggression against the population of Nagorno Karabakh.

The sides looked also into the chances of applying sanctions against Azerbaijan. Simonyan reaffirmed Armenia’s peace agenda and its proposal of a road map for establishing lasting peace in the region. -0-
