YEREVAN, February 16. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has appointed Areg Hovhannisyan as Armenia's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan. The corresponding decree is posted on the website of the head of state.

By another decree, Hrant Poghosyan was recalled from the post of ambassador to Japan and Korea. -0-
