Armenia analyzes 12th version of peace treaty received from Azerbaijan - Pashinyan

YEREVAN, February 27. /ARKA/. Armenia is analyzing the 12th version of the draft peace treaty received from Azerbaijan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told reporters on the sidelines of the parliament.
“We have received the 12th version of the peace treaty from Azerbaijan. It contains a response to some of our previous proposals. We are currently analyzing them in order to formulate our response proposals,” Pashinyan said.
He confirmed that two of the 17 clauses of the treaty remain unagreed (he earlier named as such the refusal to deploy troops of third countries along the border and the waiver of reciprocal legal claims in international courts - ed.).
“So far (the peace treaty) has not been agreed upon, the discussion continues. There are several layers, some nuances, and to say: 'rejected - not rejected', 'accepted - not accepted', it's all relative,” Pashinyan said.
He noted that there has been no official response from Azerbaijan to Armenia's official proposals.
“When we receive an official response, after that, in all likelihood, we will be able to reveal to the public, to the media the essence of our proposals ... I repeat, this is not just a proposal, but a solution to the issue. The task is to open the communications of the region, and the formula we propose solves all the issues that have been raised in the negotiations since 2021,” the Armenian Prime Minister said.
He emphasized that the Republic of Armenia “has never and nowhere, in any document, neither in writing nor verbally committed itself in any way to diminish or limit its sovereignty, jurisdiction, territorial integrity in the context of unblocking regional communications.
“We present solutions based on the principle of reciprocity. We remember that on the territory of Armenia, the integrity of the railroad network is ensured through the territory of Azerbaijani exclave Nakhchivan,” Pashinyan said.-0-
